今天走到leeds大学的union里面拿份报纸，头版写着“Pepper spray nightmare”， 大概内容是在上个星期3早上，95路公车上面有个变态拿胡椒粉喷剂攻击做在车上的乘客的眼睛。“The number 95 had just pulled up opposite the hyde park pub when a man sprayed the noxious substance into the bus”, 结果有9个人被送到医院。有一个人已经失明了。其中有leeds大学的学生。

――现在大白天做公车都有危险，就知道leeds治安到底怎么样了。如果在leeds的同学，可以去大学union拿份Leeds Student的报纸（19/11/2004）看看。

再翻开报纸的第16版，就可以知道leeds的现状现在到底是怎么样的了。

Leeds的littile london和harehills是英国最贫穷，犯罪率最高的地区之一。“A valley of deprivation stretches out towards littile London and harehills, two of Britain’s poorest boroughs.”

Leeds这里现在贩毒严重，就连小孩子也参与。“working as drug runners, delivering crack, cocaine, marijuanjuana, speed or even heroin, local kids can earn up to 400 pounds per week. For dozens of teenagers this is increasingly seen as the easy option.”

Leeds 这里没事就砸你的窗户。你房间的窗户和你车的窗户。在Leeds一段时间对路上看到的窗户被砸已经见惯不怪了吧。就在学校里面还有很多车的玻璃被砸呢。“His windows are regularly smashed by local dealers, and he now owns four dogs for security.”

Leeds的犯罪率是威尔士的35倍。还被评为什么欧洲burglar最高的地方。

例子我也不想再举了， 只是想说，没有来leeds，有其他的选择的，最好就不要来了。来了leeds的和一定要来leeds的大家自己平时小心点了。
