My first stage of job searching is to apply big companies. I got all
the information from career office and career fair in the university.
London University always has two (I think) big career fairs each year
and you can talk to people there.
But unfortunately, after about 10 interviews, I came to nothing.
Then I have to go for jobs posted in newspaper, website, job agency.
I got a couple of interviews but none of them succeeded.
Then my current job came from the job office in my husband's university.
Initially, it is for a temporary part time position but forturnately,
after I had my interview with my boss, he decides to take me as
a permenant staff.
I have two masters degree, one in Publishing and one in Computing
Science. I did get more interviews than my classmates which I think
possiblly because my background is quite cross subject. I have some
work experiences in China as a journalist, but my current job is
a database and web programmer.
It is hard for me to find any company that I did not apply to,
so just imagine how many cvs I have sent out.
Like I always say, there is no short cut to find a job and just
keep trying.
